Well, the chilly weather is just around the corner. And while you enjoy that nip in the air, you don’t realize that the whipping winds and dryness are taking a toll on your hair.

It’s time to start thinking about ways to protect your tresses this season; here are a few tips to get you started.

Snip It!                                               

Regular trims reduce the chance of dry and splitting ends and are a great way to keep your hair in good health during winter.

Deep Condition:

Perfect to replenish and lock the moisture into your hair, deep conditioning is the best way to protect your hair during this season.

Wear a scarf:                      

Throw a scarf around or wear a hat to protect your hair from the cold and wind.

Do away with heat-styling products:

Limit the use of blow dryers and curling irons. Try using a leave-in conditioner if you do end up styling your hair with an iron. Use it on low heat, concentrating on the roots. Although, the less you deal with styling tools, the better off you’ll be.

Try a massage;

Warm two teaspoons of olive oil and massage it slowly through your scalp. This slow massaging helps the oil penetrate deep into the roots. A warm olive oil massage will give your hair shine and remove dandruff and frizz, while also controlling hair breakage.
